My posts have been few and far between in the last months, not because of lack of topics! But I am renewed in more ways than one because of my new laptop! It seems the price of countless moments of web cam with family had resulted in my son's removal of several letters from my old laptop. This, in addition to the flashing screen that would send an epileptic into a full-blown seizure, and I stayed away from any typing projects.
Our little boy has had a huge milestone, potty training! We have only had one day with no accidents, but the frequency is only about once per day. He does great on the potty, and loves to flush and get a reward - mini marshmallows. He has worn undies to school twice, and his second time had no accidents. I was such a proud mother. This topic has been a source of stress for me, and I am so happy that he has made such progress.
Last weekend we had a fabulous date night with a babysitter, our first in the 14 months we have lived down here in South Florida. Up until now, we have relied on family visitors for our adult time, and are so happy to have had a great experience with our neighbor. I hope she is available for many more evening out in the future.
This coming weekend, we head to visit Nana and Papa in Orlando, and who else will we be seeing? The Mouse himself, and hopefully many other characters at the Magic Kingdom. This is A's 1st trip since he was about 19 months old, so we are so excited to see his reaction and joy at all that the Mouse has to offer! First stop, The Harmony Barber Shop for A's 1st haircut (aside from my little snips here and there.) Stay tuned for pictures.
Not all is rosy and sweet here, we are still battling lack of nap on several days each week, and some unsavory hitting/punching spells as well. Hoping our diligence in these areas pays off soon!
